EMMAROL Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością is implementing a project co-financed from European Funds

Financing agreement No FENG.02.32-IP.03-0007/23-00

Implementation of a new technology for the manufacture of maize harvesting attachments with improved properties under Measure 2.32 Technology loan of the European Funds for Modern Economy Program 2021-2027 co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund
The total cost of the project is PLN 20 489 800
The Institution granted the Beneficiary co-financing in the amount of PLN 8 195 920
The project concerns the initial investment in accordance with EC Regulation (EU) 651/2014 and includes investments in tangible fixed assets related to a fundamental change in the production process of the existing EMMAROL plant by introducing significantly improved products – maize harvesting attachments to the offer.
The investment in question assumes construction works related to the expansion of the production hall and the purchase of machinery and equipment related to the implementation of proprietary technology, thanks to which there will be a permanent change in the functioning of the company. The change in technology concerns primarily the automation of individual technological processes and the application of proprietary solutions in one technological line according to the developed guidelines contained in the Report on R&D works.
The fundamental change in the technological process concerns the automation of the laser cutting process from the stage of collecting material from the warehouse (using the sheet metal separation system and sheet thickness measurement), through laser cutting, to the unloading of elements on the table. These changes will allow for a reduction in labour intensity and defects, as well as an increase in the efficiency of the process.
The new process also assumes changes in the machining station. A new production socket has been designed that automates the measurements, rendering the entire process more efficient and the manufactured transmission elements more accurate, which will increase the efficiency of the transmission, and reduce noise emissions. In the welding process, thanks to the development of a dedicated welding socket with the use of proprietary welding equipment (turntable and welding tool), we will significantly reduce shortages and material consumption in the process (lower consumption of weld and gas and sheet), while maintaining dimensional compliance of the main frame and shear unit.
The fundamental change in the production process also applies to the assembly process – a new system of the technological line in a batch system, which will increase the efficiency of the entire production. Due to the numerous changes in many processes of production of the attachment, the project concerns a fundamental change regarding the entire production process of the existing plant.
This project consists in investing in the following tangible fixed assets related to a fundamental change in the production process of the existing plant:
• Production and storage hall - 1 set
• Laser burner - 1 pc.
• Automation of the cutting station - 1 set
• Robotized welding station - 1 set
• Lathe - 2 pcs.
• Automation of the machining station - 1 set
• Test gauge - 1 pc.
• Mobile storage rack - 1 set
• Turntable

Project beneficiaries
Development of energy-efficient technologies, conducive to environmental protection by reducing their environmental footprint, and machines and devices for farming, sowing and fertilizing, planting, care and protection of plants, harvesting, maintenance and storage of agricultural products, increasing agrotechnical parameters and ensuring high quality of agricultural products.
The result of the project will be the implementation of an innovative technology for the manufacture of maize harvesting headers with improved properties. The new technology concerns changes in the production process of maize harvesting attachments, which will be implemented at individual stages of production. These changes are to lead to a reduction in manufacturing defects, a reduction in the material intensity of the process, a reduction in the labour intensity of the process, as well as an increase in its efficiency.
As a result of the implementation of the new technological line, we will be able to market maize harvesting headers with improved properties. These attachments will be characterized by increased efficiency, including increased efficiency of the agricultural machine through the use of an improved transmission, reduced noise emissions, higher accuracy of the transmission and dimensional repeatability of the attachment. The new attachment will be repeatable and dimensionally accurate, which will allow for better use in field conditions.

Objective of the project
As a result of the project, a new, own technology for the manufacture of agricultural machinery – grain maize harvesting attachments, developed on the basis of research and development works carried out independently (EMMAROL) and on behalf of (PIT-Poznań Institute of Technology), will be implemented. As part of the R&D works, we developed a proprietary technology, which will enable us to introduce a significantly improved product to the market – an attachment for maize harvesting, with significant competitive advantages.
The implementation of the planned project, aimed at implementing of a new technology by our company in order to start the production process, significantly improved in relation to the products offered so far – an attachment for maize harvesting, requires organized implementation activities, based on meeting the following operational objectives:
1. Ensuring the use of new technology, enabling the efficient production of a new market product by selecting competent suppliers required for the implementation of the fixed assets project.
2. Guaranteeing the innovativeness of the product in terms of achieving the features constituting the competitive advantage of the product resulting from the project.
3. Acquisition and involvement of the machine park and its instrumentation in accordance with the specificity and
technical requirements necessary to start the production of the project results.
4. Hiring of competent and experienced staff necessary to implement the project.
5. Skillful combination of devices provided by different manufacturers into one, effective technological line guaranteeing the achievement of the project's objectives.
6. Conducting an effective promotional campaign in the field of ensuring the usability of the new product and its environmental values, among others, at trade fairs.

Effect and result of the project implementation
As a result of the project, a new technology for the manufacture of agricultural machinery, i.e. grain harvesting attachments, will be implemented. The new production technology developed in the result of research and development assumes a change in numerous processes. In the welding process, the changes concern the welding of large-sized elements of the attachment frame and shear units, by developing dedicated welding equipment and designing a dedicated production socket.
The change also applies to the laser cutting process, which has been integrated into the material warehouse, and the entire process has been automated using new sheet metal measuring systems. Another change was implemented in the machining process, by designing a dedicated machining socket and enabling automatic measurements of the elements of the attachment transmission. We developed an innovative – 6-stage method of assembly of our agricultural machines.
Thanks to the development of a new production technology, we were able to implement an innovative agricultural machine. Key changes in the technological process will result in significant changes in the quality of the manufactured machines - maize harvesting headers. Finished products will be characterized by higher accuracy of workmanship, increased efficiency of the attachment transmission, reduced noise of the attachment transmission, and dimensional repeatability.
